Absolutely! AWC offers classes for all age and skill levels. Classes are built to help you learn and improve from any level in a safe, positive environment.

You guessed it! Absolutely! AWC is proud to offer a positive environment for any challenge- whether you are just wanting to learn or if you want to compete at an elite level.

No! During classes at AWC, athletes wear a gym-appropriate shirt and shorts. If you decide to compete, you will wear your singlet only when in a match, on the mat. The rest of the time, you will enter the competition and dress in their typical warm-up outfit.

Definitely not! AWC is home to athletes of all sizes. Putting athletes in a fair and safe learning environment is a core value of our club.

Nope – weight is just a number! Wrestling is one of the toughest physical training you can choose to put yourself through, whether or not you start where you want to be weight wise, AWC gives you all the tools and support to get to where you want to end up.

No one will ever be forced to cut weight at AWC. Youth wrestlers do not cut weight at any credible wrestling academy. Adult competitors may ask us how to cut weight safely and in accordance with national wrestling governing bodies at their own request.

Currently we do not have the participant numbers to offer classes specifically for women BUT we want to! If you are interested, please reach out to us so we can make this goal a reality sooner rather than later!
